    Job Description

    SUMMARY:

    The V.P. Business Development/Technical Sales will be responsible for developing growth in Cevians Optical Products Business Unit.  The function requires identifying business opportunities, managing those strategic relationships leading to achieve established growth objective. The individual is expected to apply technical knowledge and business skills to generate sustainable growth in a highly technical environment for the Aerospace and Defense industry.

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Identify and develop both new, and follow-on business opportunities to generate profitable growth for the Optical Products BU
    • Construct target lists and develop well-organized business capture plans and recommend product and business strategy to achieve financial objectives
    • Establish and cultivate successful customer relationships
    • Become the primary point of contact for each customer and be a customer advocate for them within the organization
    • Lead customer contract negotiations and coordinate other internal resources as necessary
    • Develop and present detailed product presentations
    • Visit customers on a regular basis
    • Forecast anticipated bookings and sales for dedicated accounts
    • Participate in strategic planning activities by identifying growth strategies and preparing future financial objectives
    • Attend trade shows and seminars, demonstrate products, articulate competitive benefits of products

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in a technical or marketing discipline
    • Must have a minimum of 5-10 years of technical sales or marketing experience and/or 3+ years Avionics/Defense experience
    • Proven ability to grow business
    • Technical knowledge in LCD displays, touchscreens, photochemistry, optics, thin film coatings or night vision applications
    • Possess a strong business acumen
    • Must be an articulate and fluent communicator, verbal and written and at ease with public speaking
    • Must be organized, self-motivated, accurate, and possess the ability to work quickly
    • Strong time management skills/ability to multi-task numerous projects
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
    • Ability to easily and quickly meet all security requirements to gain entry to US government agencies, prime contractors and/or subcontractors facilities
    • Ability to travel within the assigned territory approximately 50% of the time
