    Job Description

    SUMMARY:

    The In-House Recruiter/HR Asst. reports to the Human Resources Manager and will deliver full life-cycle recruiting.  The person in this position will be responsible for sourcing, acquiring, assessing, and hiring candidates to fill roles that are required to meet company goals and fill project requirements.  He(She) is the public face of the company during the recruiting process, so must ensure positive candidate experiences from the initial application to the final on-boarding process.  The Recruiter maintains awareness of competitor practices, industry trends, recruitment standards and techniques.

    The In-House Recruiter/HR Asst. will consult and work with hiring managers to identify and recruit potential candidates.  The recruiter will develop a comprehensive understanding of Cevians organization, its long term resource strategies and culture.  The recruiter will identify key performance factors, develop sourcing pools and establish interviewing criteria.  He(she) will proactively create applicant pools and talent pipelines by researching candidates using various tools including directly contacting possible candidates or others that might be able to refer candidates, posting job ads through job boards, social media, state employment agencies, professional associations and employee referral programs.  The recruiter evaluates applications, reviews resumes, have candidate performs skill or psychometric testing, conduct reference checks and complete initial phone interviews to establish a narrow candidate pool.  The recruiter makes recommendations to hiring managers on the top candidates for in-person interviews.

    The recruiter is actively involved in insuring on-boarding process is executed per plan and monitor integration and performance of new talents.

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Work with hiring managers to adequately understand the needs of the manager and the requirements and expectations of the job.
    • Perform job analysis and task analysis to create job requirements
    • Develop job descriptions as well as job specifications, and ensure they are kept updated
    • Analyze compensation scales and make recommendation on salary levels
    • Use various methods to recruit and network with potential candidates including social media platforms, networking events and job fairs
    • Actively work toward building a diverse and qualified team to support the organization
    • Create recruitment materials
    • Post jobs to the appropriate places – job boards, newspapers, community services, employment agencies, and colleges; ensure compliance with all affirmative action policy requirements
    • Seek out and recommend creative new ways of sourcing talent
    • Review resumes/cover letters, and conduct preliminary interviews with recruits to gauge interest, personality and salary requirements
    • Schedule in person interviews for top candidates with hiring manager
    • Complete all pre-screening and screening activities for prospective employees, which may include calling previous employers and completing background screens and drug tests.
    • Assess potential applicants for their relevant knowledge, experience, training, skills, aptitudes, and soft skills
    • Working closely with the Human Resources Manager, administer and submit all hiring paperwork for new employees as well as assist with the orientation process.
    • Work with hiring managers and administer/monitor on-boarding process for all new staff by introducing them to the company and guiding them through their training plan
    • Provide recruiting reports; update recruiting logs and affirmative action information
    • Recommend any new policies or procedures that may benefit our company

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • At least 5 years previous work experience as a Recruiter – can be as an in-house recruiter or a recruiter at a staffing agency
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
    • A working knowledge of human resources functional areas and applicable state employment laws is expected.
    • Knowledge of the full life cycle recruitment process is required
    • Direct experience with job screening, hiring practices and talent acquisition
    • Comprehensive knowledge of ethical and professional recruitment standards
    • Previous experience developing and executing recruiting marketing and branding strategies
    • Experience working with a diverse team and striving for fairness in hiring all races, genders and ages
    • Knowledge of compensation and benefits practices
    • Experience in the continual development of talent pipelines and sourcing potential candidates
    • Familiarity with Office applications, like Word and Excel, as well as popular social media platforms, such as LinkedIn, are a must
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and active listening skills
    • Excellent negotiation skills
    • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
