SUMMARY:

The individual in the role of Coating technician will be responsible for cleaning, thin film coatings, glass fabrication processing, in-process inspection, metrology and product handling and packaging.                                                                                                         

The mandate is to build and maintain efficient production by achieving a desired job throughput and equipment utilization by focusing on yield and continuous process improvement, on-time delivery to internal and external customers, work space organization, safety and compliance with CEVIANS Quality policy and objectives and AS9100 compliance.

JOB DUTIES:

• Operate thin film coating equipment
• Setup and operate thin film coating equipment
• Use spectrophotometer to measure spectral performance of thin film coatings
• Perform visual inspection of optical surfaces before and after coating
• Make Pass/Fail disposition of thin film coatings by comparing to product requirements
• Proactively communicate process and/or equipment issues to Management/Engineers
• Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks
• Clean and maintain coating systems and other equipment
• Document operational parameters of production equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance activities on cleaning, blasting, dicing, and coating equipment
• Responsibile for executing daily tasks per instruction
• Promote and adhere to AS9100 Quality Management System and Cevians Quality Policy
• Perform other duties as assigned

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE 

• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in Coating environment

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to stand and walk 8-10 hours a day
• Exposure to chemicals, solvents, and coating materials
• Ability to lift and/or carry at least 20 lbs.
• Working in clean room environment / PPE (safety glasses, latex gloves)

Additional Information

Current 2nd shift hours are 2;30 pm - 11:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
