Job Title: Azure Platform Support/DevOps Consultant

Location: Dallas, Texas (Onsite preferred, Remote considered)

Duration: Full-time

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Platform Support/DevOps Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Azure cloud services, particularly Azure PaaS resources like Storage, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Private Endpoints (PE), Network Security Groups (NSGs), and possess a solid understanding of DevOps principles. This role will primarily involve sustaining activities for Azure platform resources, with a smaller portion dedicated to DevOps pipeline development.

Key Responsibilities:

Azure Platform Support (80%):

Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Azure PaaS/IaaS resources and applications.

Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of Azure resources.

Proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure high availability and reliability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency.

Perform routine maintenance tasks, updates, and patch management for Azure resources.

Implement security best practices and configure NSGs to enhance network security.

Set up and manage Private Endpoints for secure access to Azure services.

Troubleshoot data-related issues in Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse Analytics.

Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support, if required.

DevOps Pipeline Build (20%):

Design, develop, and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD automation.

Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD practices into the software development lifecycle.

Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Azure Resource Manager templates.

Configure and manage Azure DevOps release pipelines for application deployment.

Ensure code quality, testing, and deployment processes are streamlined and efficient.

Continuously improve DevOps practices and automation to enhance productivity.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, particularly Azure PaaS resources.

Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving Azure platform-related issues.

Experience with network security, NSGs, and Private Endpoints.

Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) and relevant tools.

Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-400) preferred.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
