    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Reporting to the President, the EXECUTIVE/OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE is responsible for the administrative support of the President and Chief Policy Officer.  This is an exciting opportunity to learn about digital asset and blockchain technologies, the process of thought leadership, trade association operations, and advocacy.

    The Associate will be a responsible for a busy calendar of in person and remote meetings, email, social media, and other communications.  The ideal candidate is passionate about blockchain and cryptocurrency, adept at multi-tasking, comfortable interacting with leaders from corporate and government settings, and highly organized. This full-time, exempt position is based in Washington, D.C.

    Pay is commensurate with experience.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage the calendars of Chamber Executives, primarily the President and Chief Policy Officer
    • Manage the travel arrangements of Chamber Executives, including booking travel and accommodations and managing expense reports
    • Oversee management of the office, including answering phones, ordering supplies, depositing checks, and other tasks as assigned
    • Manage scheduling and coordination of meetings (in person and online), including operation of virtual event platforms
    • Operate conferencing software during virtual meetings, managing logistics and problem-solving as needed
    • Serve as a backup and partner with the Event Planning Associate on the logistics and executive of private and public events, communicating with vendors, external partners, and internal and external stakeholders

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • At least three (3) years of related work experience, with demonstrated administrative skills
    • Well-rounded interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, senior leaders, member organizations, and vendors
    • Strong written and oral communications skills
    • Ability to proofread written communications efficiently and effectively, and able to draft short correspondence, memos, statements, and posts in the voice of others quickly and without errors
    • Must have strong technology skills including the ability to organize and facilitate large meetings via Zoom, WebEx, Google Meets, Microsoft Office Teams, and others
    • Must be highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
    • Must be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently
    • Must be able to maintain an approach to work that is consistently enthusiastic, tenacious, curious, even under pressure or in the face of rapidly shifting priorities
