    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    This role is within CGI's Engineering function. A successful intern is expected to (i) Translate high level use cases into Epics and User Stories to ensure effective implementation of application functionality and (ii) Work with business stakeholders to understand business processes and elicit, define, and analyze requirements as Epics and User Stories. 

    • Translate high level use cases into Epics and User Stories to ensure effective implementation of application functionality
    • Work with business stakeholders to understand business processes and elicit, define, and analyze requirements as Epics and User Stories
    • Collaborate with functional and technical teams across the company as required to define proposed integrated solutions that meet business requirements
    • Learn and implement current Business Analyst practices within the organization
    • Document functional capabilities of customer facing applications
    • Schedule and facilitate Backlog Refinement Sessions for the Scrum Team
    • Responsible for complying with the security requirements set forth by the Information Security team and the established ISO 27001 Security Roles, Responsibilities, and Authorities Document found in the ISMS Document Library
    • Protect CGI’s reputation by keeping information confidential
    • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Rising Senior standing towards a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems program (or similar) at an accredited University in good standing
    • Must be committed to the duration of the internship program, generally 12 - 14 weeks (May to August 2021)
    • Must be local during Summer season as you will be required to work in the Oak Brook office
    • Must possess an unrestricted right to work in the United States
    • GPA minimum: 3.5 on a 4.0 point scale

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Intern or co-op experience 
    • Demonstrated experience in Information Technology, preferably applications development or configuration

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Good reading comprehension skills
    • Excellent listening skills
    • Ability to work as part of a team of analysts supporting a single platform running multiple projects simultaneously
    • Ability to understand business objectives
    • Ability to self organize work upon receiving direction from Manager or Product Owners
    • Good time management skills
    • Ability to lead and run stakeholder meetings
    • Comfortable leading or participating in stakeholder presentations
    • Desire to seek out and complete trainings relevant to the position or projects assigned
    • Self-driven, organized, goal-oriented individual with positive attitude
