    Job Description

    Champions School of Real Estate is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to oversee company IT functions and provide computer/network support for all statewide campuses. This candidate will work at our Austin Campus and be required to travel at least 30% each month to our statewide campuses in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth and San Antonio. This candidate will be required to manage multiple technology projects, problem solve, respond quickly to all computer/network issues and communicate effectively with team members. 

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Responsible for maintaining day-to-day operation of companywide computer network.
    • Provide computer/network support relating to software and hardware issues.
    • Assess upgrades and repairs to network and ensure all systems are operating properly.
    • Review all network hardware and software and coordinate with third parties, if needed.
    • Maintain network and computer system security.
    • Manage cloud and physical network storage needs.
    • Develop a strong knowledge of business objectives to improve both customer and user needs.
    • Add and maintain users on the network, assign access and update security permissions.
    • Manage, monitor, maintain, update all servers for campuses statewide.
    • Monitor and evaluate efficiency of software/hardware usage and back-up of all statewide servers.
    • Provide technical support for all statewide campuses.
    • Quick response time and follow-up for all campus technology issues.
    • Install campus workstations and printers to the network.
    • Ensure that workstations are working efficiently and stay connected to the network.
    • Provide training to computer network users, as needed.
    • Monitor and report licenses on applications to ensure compliance on a monthly basis.
    • Report performance metrics and direct actions to continually improve network efficiency.
    • Manage and support companywide telecommunications network.
    • Maintain inventory of all computer equipment, software and licenses.
    • Meet project deadlines and update management team throughout project cycle.
    • Provide a monthly report to management team on network usage, issues and upcoming technology needs that require purchase of additional software, products and systems.
    • Gather bid prices for software, equipment and supplies, as needed.
    • Evaluate industry advancements on an ongoing basis to improve customer and user satisfaction, reduce operating expenses and maximize revenues.
    • Work with management team to develop a technology budget plan to support both short-term and long-term objectives to ensure maximum value is provided to the company.
    • Collaborate with management team on special projects, as needed.
    • Assist web developers, as needed.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 10-15 years of experience in Network Administration
    • Expert knowledge of Microsoft core business applications: SQL, Exchange Server, 365, Outlook, Active Directory and Remote Desktop
    • 10+ years professional experience in Microsoft Windows, Linux and Google Cloud administration
    • Knowledge of Linux administration – primarily in Ubuntu or Debian with emphasis on security strong command line skills
    • Knowledge of Google Cloud server administration – Instances, APIs, Network, Cloud DNS
    • Knowledgeable of LAMP Stack – (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) expert. Virtual hosts, Config files, Certificates. Database administration, phpMyAdmin – command line, a plus
    • Knowledgeable of Avaya VoIP telephone systems, a plus
    • Experienced in the administration of WAN and LAN connectivity: routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Additional Information

    TRAVEL:  30% required monthly to Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth and San Antonio

    COMPENSATION:  Competitive salary based on experience
