    Job Description

    We are seeking a Communications Coordinator to join our team! You will be responsible for the public relations initiatives of the organization. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Design and maintain a favorable public image for the organization
    • Coordinate all public relations activities and events
    • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new business contacts
    • Develop and implement media relations programs
    • Work with other departments to help promote brand recognition
    • Assist in the selection of marketing and promotional materials

    ​QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Previous experience in public relations or other related fields
    • Familiarity with social media marketing strategies
    • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Deadline and detail-oriented

The Best Start West Athens (BSWA) Initiative’s vision is to develop a collaborative community support system to enhance, enrich, educate and empower all stakeholders with a special focus on families with children prenatal to age 5. C.H.A.N.G.E.S. supports the initiative through stakeholder outreach & engagement, coalition building, and education. Activities will focus on BSWA’s community identified project priority areas: Parks & Green Spaces, Quality School Improvements, and Community Safety.
