    PURPOSE AND SUMMARY

    The Chapel Coffee Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Chapel Coffee, ensuring it provides a welcoming, efficient, and friendly environment for church members, visitors, and the local community. Chapel Coffee will serve as a place of connection, fellowship, and outreach, and the Manager will play a key role in making this space an extension of the church’s mission. This individual will manage all aspects of operations, including staff supervision, inventory management, customer service, quality control, budgeting, and community engagement.

    REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

    Reports directly to Campus Pastor; indirectly to Chapel Coffee outside consultant

    QUALIFICATIONS (at time of hire)

    At least 2-3 years of experience in a café, restaurant, or food service management role (preferred).

    Must be a member of The Father’s House

    Familiarity with the mission and values of the church.

    A background in hospitality or event coordination is a plus.

    Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team.

    Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for serving others.

    Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and managing finances.

    Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.

    A heart for serving the community and building relationships within the church and beyond.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    Ability to work evenings and weekends, especially around church service times and events.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Operations Management:

    Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.

    Manage and maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and food hygiene in accordance with local regulations.

    Ensure that the environment is welcoming, comfortable, and conducive to community engagement.

    Staff Supervision & Training:

    Recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers, ensuring they provide excellent customer service.

    Organize staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours (e.g., Sunday services, special events).

    Lead regular team meetings to provide training, foster teamwork, and address any concerns.

    Customer Service:

    Provide a friendly, positive, and welcoming environment for all Chapel Coffee patrons, building relationships and encouraging repeat visits.

    Resolve customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.

    Act as a liaison between Chapel Coffee, the church, and the community.

    Inventory & Supply Management:

    Manage inventory levels for food, beverages, and supplies.

    Place orders for new supplies, ensuring that items are available without excess waste or stockouts.

    Track inventory and oversee proper storage to prevent spoilage and loss.

    Financial Management:

    Create and manage the Chapel Coffee budget, ensuring financial goals are met.

    Monitor revenue and expenses, making adjustments as needed to stay within budget.

    Track sales data and prepare monthly or quarterly reports for church leadership.

    Menu Planning & Product Development:

    Collaborate with the church team to develop seasonal menus that align with the church’s mission and values.

    Introduce new menu items based on customer feedback and community preferences, maintaining a balance of high-quality offerings.

    Community Engagement:

    Foster a sense of community by encouraging customers to gather, connect, and participate in church activities.

    Oversee the operation of Chapel Coffee social media account (as determined by TFH Social Media team)

    Coordinate special events or promotions in collaboration with church events (e.g., coffee hour, Bible study sessions, church picnics).

    Event Support:

    Assist with church events when necessary.

    Coordinate with church leadership for any special events that require Chapel Coffee involvement.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
