We are currently seeking to fill a Human Resources Assistant position; 40-45 hours per week. Hours of work are Monday-Friday with primary hours 7:30pm-4:00pm (will be required to come in early on orientation days). Our ideal candidate must be detail oriented, organized and dependable.
Base Wage: $17 and could go up from there based on experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
_Work Performed: _
§ Tasks as needed by office / management and other leadership roles, which may include support for / with:
o Recruitment & Selection
§ Create, post and sustain job advertisements for opportunities with the company
· Utilize online websites and local printing companies to reach targeted group
§ Collect and maintain materials from individuals including employment applications, cover letters, resumes and others
· Enter and sustain “Applicant Tracking” Excel log
§ Correspond with applicants regarding employment; reply to inquiries, conduct phone screens, provide company status / updates, send rejection notices
o Hiring & Orientation
§ Schedule and monitor candidate assessments, tours, interviews, pre-employment screening appointments and onboarding
· Process on file for drug screens, clinic visits, etc.
§ Conduct “New-Hire” orientation
· Explain the Employee Handbook, policies, programs, procedures, responsibilities;
· Obtain and verify forms, documents and other required items
· Perform employee setup and assignments (uniforms, lockers, keys)
§ Maintain inventory, prepare and order materials as needed
§ Assign and submit Health / Medical questionnaires for Respirator Clearance, as needed

o Payroll__
§ Serve as primary Payroll Processor
§ Verify time (OT, vacation, absences) with supervisors/managers to approve
§ Edit time, assign earnings codes and comments for attendance program
o Employee Events
§ Organizes and plans company events and weekly/monthly meals
o Other Administrative functions:
§ File / Organize Job Sheets
§ Misc. Paperwork and check for updated job numbers
§ Prepare meeting materials: agendas, PowerPoints, notes and others as needed
§ Conduct audits to fulfill department needs and compliance regarding: I-9s, health coverage and premiums, hiring and safety invoices, etc.
§ Maintain employee communications bulletin boards (quality, benefits, production, safety)
§ Operates telephone console to facilitate internal messages and telephone transfers.
§ Completion of the required task within the desired deadline.
§ To monitor, carryout and abide by company policies.
_Experience: _
· Microsoft Office experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
· 1 year experience as HR Assistant preferred
Base Wage: $17 and could go up from there based on experience.
