Job Description

Charlotte Mechanical Engineering is seeking a BIM Modeler to support their team in Charlotte, NC.

The BIM Modeler is responsible for maintaining one or more project BIM models and the associated project BIM support documents, to ensure the quality levels satisfy specific project BIM requirements and company BIM standards. Core responsibilities of the BIM Modeler role will span modeling a variety of disciplines and performing BIM coordination.

The BIM Modeler provides technical support directly to project teams and reports directly to the BIM Manager, providing feedback on project teams requirements for training, workflows or content.

REQUIREMENTS

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Knowledge of and proven practical background in Autodesk Revit and related CAD software.
• Experience in model federation workflows using Navisworks.
• Solid understanding of core ANSI drafting standards.
• Familiarity with design practices relating to multiple construction disciplines.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidates must be able to clearly articulate advanced construction concepts in a way that team members at all levels can understand.
• Degree in computer aided drafting, engineering technology, or construction management preferred but not required.
• Candidates must have fluency in reading 2D construction documents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to details is a must.
• The ideal candidate must be a team player that has passion for their work.

EXPERIENCE:

• Candidates must possess at least 1 year of relevant experience with Autodesk Revit.
• Revit MEP systems experience is preferred.
• Construction experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience with BIM 360 is preferred but not required.
