    What is the Role:

    The Research and Development Manager is responsible for the formulation, and quality of all products manufactured by Charlotte Products Ltd. The R&D Manager will be a leader of the Charlotte Laboratory Team. They are supporting New Product Development, Quality Systems implementation, Product Certification, Technical Support and Regulatory Compliance.

    The successful candidate will need to demonstrate both breadth and depth of understanding of the technical issues associated with Product Development in the sanitation industry. They will have the ability to learn and contribute quickly in a team environment.

    The Requirements We Need:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Science is considered a strong asset.

    Formulating experience in the sanitation industry is considered a strong asset.

    Highly organized and disciplined with respect to documentation control and following procedures.

    Strong written and verbal communications skills.

    Ability to take on the role of a Project Manager as required, along with familiarity of project management tools as needed.

    Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.

    Strong statistical analysis skills an asset.

    Core Responsibilities:

    Formulate novel products in support of new opportunities.

    Formulate and present improvements to existing range of performance chemicals currently in a portfolio of over 1000 products.

    Understand the regulatory and certification process. Prepare samples, complete documentation, work with independent laboratories.

    Draft technical communications on product usage.

    Ensure Quality Control analyses and ensure proper calculation of manufacturing batch adjustments.

    Ensure that chemical analyses and application testing in support of customer and sales team requests are completed in a timely manner.
