    Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Dilworth in finding an afternoon nanny for their 6-year-old daughter. The family needs a nanny to work Monday through Friday from 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm, with the flexibility to arrive earlier or later upon request.

    The family is looking for an educated nanny who is fluent in Spanish and English. The best candidate for this family would be punctual, reliable, organized, clean, and detailed oriented. The best nanny would be able to maintain all aspects of care for the child including helping to monitor that she is dressed appropriately, has brushed her hair, and has appropriate personal hygiene (I.e. reminding her to brush her teeth in the morning and after meals) and assist with homework. Homework help requires that the nanny know how to speak English and write/read/speak Spanish proficiently and correctly. Their daughter likes painting, doing crafts, and goes to Kumon on a regular basis. The nanny would be encouraged to keep their daughter active and engaged in fun activities such as art activities, reading books in Spanish, going to the park and museum outings, etc.). Absolutely no TV, Phone, Tablet or other device watching is requested by the family. The nanny would also be asked to coordinate play groups and outings for the child.

    In addition to childcare the nanny would be asked to help prepare meals or snacks for child as needed (must be healthy foods and drinks that meet the guidelines of parents), Wash utensils and dishes for child, Wash, ironing, fold clothing for child, maintain the child’s room and areas used by child, maintain play area (living room/dining area) clean and tidy for child to play in, Washing, drying and storing food and drink containers used by the child before concluding workday, Picking up all toys, books and other items used by child before concluding work day, changing linens for child once a week, Supervise homework and school related projects, and help with other (non-child related) light house work such as washing, drying and storing dishes, keeping house tidy and organized, folding and storing laundry, and light cleaning time allows. The nanny would be asked to transport the child in their car and must be a safe and careful driver and have a clean driving record check. The family has one dog, a 10-year-old male Westie. The nanny must be comfortable with the dog being in and around the home throughout the day.

    This position starts ASAP and pay is offered at a negotiable rate between 16-20 dollars per hour (depending on experience and qualifications). The family is paying a guarantee of 20 hours a week, paid holidays if they fall on a weekday, paid time off when the family goes on vacation (between 2-4 weeks a year), and mileage will be paid at IRS rate per mile. All Nannies must pass an in-person pre-screening interview, background check, reference check, and be CPR/First Aid certified.
