Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Freedom Park in finding a Full-Time Nanny for their 3-month-old. The family also has a 3-year-old whom the nanny will only care for during school breaks and holidays. The nanny would typically be needed Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. It would be a bonus if the nanny could occasionally travel with the family.

The best nanny for this family would be nurturing, decisive, familiar with the emergency protocol, and experienced in caring for infants. It is important for the family to find a nanny who will be attentive to their child's needs and maintain the baby’s established daily schedule. During the day, the nanny should read to the child and engage the child in developmental activities such as tummy time, playing with toys, going on strolls, and playing outside when the weather allows. The nanny should create an environment that will foster growth and encourage the child to meet their developmental milestones. As the child grows, the nanny should take the child on outings such as going to the Park, the Library, Story Time, and other age-appropriate activities throughout the community. The older child is in school each day from 7:45 - 5:15 and will only require care during school breaks and Holidays. Both parents typically work from home one day a week, so the nanny will need to be comfortable with that.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the children

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the children both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the children

Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):

• Children’s laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly

• Children’s meal prep

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher and sanitizing bottles

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the children

• Picking up after the nanny and children throughout the day

• Emptying diaper trash

Pets: The family has a Pug and a Chihuahua mix; the nanny would only be responsible for letting them into the fenced-in yard during the day if needed.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Nanny should be able to swim as the family has a pool in the backyard

• Nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

• Must be up to date on vaccinations, including the COVID-19 vaccine and booster, the annual Flu Vaccine, and TDAP before starting the position.

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts May, 28th 2024

• Legal pay is offered at $25.00 an hour, negotiable depending on experience

• Continued pay while the family is away
