Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Uptown Charlotte, NC in finding a Nanny for their 17 month old son. The Nanny would be needed Monday - Friday from 2:00/3:00 pm – 7:00/8:00 PM, 30 hours a week. There may also be additional babysitting needs on occasion, requested by the parents.

The best nanny for this family would be professional, punctual, kind, and trustworthy. The nanny should also be experienced and knowledgeable in caring for toddlers. Their son will attend Montessori school in the fall and the nanny would be responsible for picking him up as needed, bringing him home, playing with him, feeding dinner and putting him to bed. Their child likes to go to the park, play, read books, and stay active. He goes to bed by 7:30 pm, so on late days nanny would need to start bedtime routine at 6:30 pm and he would be in bed by 7:30 pm. So there would be 30 minutes to an hour of time at the end of the late days that the child is asleep. The best nanny for this family would be able to meet and exceed the needs of the child daily and foster a fun learning environment. Their child is allergic to nuts, milk, egg, mustard and garlic. So the nanny should be knowledgeable in food allergies and take precautions when feeding a child to make sure he is not exposed to an allergy. Must also be familiar with how to use an Epi-Pen. Nanny must follow all CDC and government guidelines for social distancing and not come to work if they think they have been exposed to Covid-19

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the child
• Help the child dress appropriately for the day as needed
• Bathing the child as needed
• Changing diapers and helping with potty training down the line
• Engaging with the child on an age appropriate level
• Playing with the child both inside and outside the home
• Taking the child on pre-approved age appropriate outings and adventures around town (Story Time, Park, Library, Music Time, and more)
• Planning and scheduling play dates as requested and approved by parents

Household Duties Include:

• The child’s laundry
• Prepping the child’s food and feeding the child
• Washing or putting away child’s dishes, etc.
• Sanitizing toys, and surfaces
• Stock diapers and other items
• Emptying diaper pail as needed

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional experience
• College degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Have a professional resume
• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a national background check, including driving record check
• Have a valid driver’s license
• Have safe and reliable transportation
• Have a minimum of three professional references
• CPR and First Aid Certified
• English proficiency, any additional languages spoken are a bonus, but not required (Spanish or mandarin preferably)

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts when the family finds the right nanny
• Legal pay is offered at $16.00 - $18.00 an hour, depending on experience
• Continued pay while the family is away
• Two weeks paid time off
