Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Weddington, NC in finding a Full-Time nanny for a girl that is 6 years old, a boy that is 3 years old, and a baby on the way due in August. The nanny would typically be needed Monday - Thursday 7:00 am - 6:00 pm, and flexible hours on Friday. Mom will be on maternity leave starting the end of August - end of September, during this time the nanny would be responsible for the older children. The family is open to Live-Out or Live-In candidates.

The best nanny for this family would be organized, responsible, and punctual. The nanny should be able to multitask and think ahead to anticipate needs of children. The oldest children will be in daycare and school during the day, during the school year and at home during the summers. The primary focus would be on caring for the baby, once born. The best nanny should have lots of newborn experience, as well as experience with caring for older children. They both like to play outside, read, color, and play in the playroom. The 6 year old likes science experiments and writing in her journal. The 3 year old likes to be active and explore the world around him. The baby is not born yet, but will need to be kept on schedule and to participate in age appropriate activities. The nanny would be encouraged to be active and engaged with the children and encourage their individual development. The nanny would also be asked to take the 3 year old to daycare and meet the 6 year old at the bus stop once school starts.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the children

• Engaging with the children on an age appropriate level

• Playing with the children both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands on learning activities with the children

• Help the 6 year old with homework

Household Duties Include:

• Children’s laundry and sheets

• Prepping children’s food, feeding children

• Washing and putting away dishes/bottles

• Keeping play areas and children’s bedrooms tidy

Pet Care:

The family has a Lab mix (35-40 lbs) , the nanny would be responsible for the following pet care duties:

• Let outside into the fenced yard to use the restroom.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Nanny should be fluent in English, any additional languages are a plus

• Must be up to date on vaccinations and be willing to take the Covid-19 vaccine as soon as it is available to childcare workers

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts the week after 4th of July

• Legal pay is offered at $20.00 - $22.00 an hour, depending on experience

• Continued pay while the family is away

• Two weeks paid time off
