Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Myers Park in finding a nanny for their 6-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son. The family needs a nanny Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (50 hours a week).

The best nanny for this family would be reliable, trustworthy, energetic, engaging, flexible, and most importantly, a love of caring for children. Currently, their son is at home with the nanny each day, and their daughter attends school. During the summer, the children have a mix of camps and weeks they will be home with the nanny. This fall, their son will attend a half-day preschool three days a week, and their daughter will be in full-day school Monday through Friday. On school days, their nanny will be responsible for assisting their son in getting ready for school and doing school drop-off (their daughter rides the bus and will be on the bus before the nanny comes in). While the children are at school the nanny would be responsible for taking care of the household tasks listed below. After school, the nanny would pick up their son, have lunch, and put him down for a nap. After nap time, the nanny would be responsible for picking their daughter up from school around 4:30 pm/5:00 pm and caring for both children in the afternoons. On non-school days for their son or on school holidays, the nanny would be responsible for caring for their son and daughter throughout the day. This family also plans to expand and add a third baby in the near future. When the third baby is born, the older children would be in school in the mornings, and the baby would become the primary focus in the morning hours, then the nanny would care for all 3 children after school. Once the baby arrives, there will be an increase in pay.

The family is seeking a nanny who is outgoing and proactive in coming up with fun activities to do with the children inside the home and in the community. The family values a nanny who is able to come up with a fun plan for the day and lesson plans that provide an environment where each child can meet their individual goals and milestones. Both children are extremely active and like to stay busy. The children like to play indoors (they have a fun gross motor play gym and playroom in their home), and do arts and crafts. They spend lots of time outdoors engaged in active play, like riding bikes, scooters, playing in the yard, going on walks, and other fun outdoor activities. The children also like to go to story time, visit Discovery Place Museums, ImaginOn, visit local parks, swim, and attend playdates with other children and nannies in the area. Their children also attend swim classes and would need to be taken to and from swim. The children would need to be transported to these activities as needed. Each day the mom works from home in a detached garage and respects proper work-from-home parent/nanny boundaries. The family would also appreciate a few overnights per year to allow the parents an occational get away (which would be paid at a rate on top of the 50 guaranteed hrs). The best nanny would be looking for a long-term position and would grow with the family over the next few years.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting the daily scheduling needs of the children

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the children both inside and outside the home

• Organizing play dates and fun activities in the community

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the children inside and outside the home

Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):

• Children’s laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly

• Children’s meal prep

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher

• Tidying up children’s bedrooms

• General tidying up

• Healthy Meal Planning for children

• Grocery Shopping/Running Errands

• Organizing/rotating clothes and toys

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation that fits 2 car seats comfortably

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Must be able to swim

• Nanny should be fluent in English, any additional languages are a plus

• Must be up to date on vaccinations, including the Covid-19 vaccine and booster, TDAP, and the annual Flu Vaccine.

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts End of May

• Legal pay is offered at $26.00 - $28.00 an hour for 40 hours and 1.5x for 10 hours of Overtime

• Continued pay while the family is away (guaranteed 50 hours per week)

• 10 days of paid time off

• 3 Sick days

• 10 Paid Major Holidays

• Paid Mileage for driving on the job at the IRS rate, car will be provided for on the job driving when third baby arrives

• Annual performance-based bonus
