Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Huntersville, NC, in finding a Full-Time Nanny for their 2.5-year-old son. The nanny would typically be needed Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, with some flexibility for occasional schedule changes.

The best nanny for this family would be a nanny who is reliable, enthusiastic, progressive thinking, and education-focused. It would be a major plus if the nanny had an education or Early Childhood education background, as their son will be at home learning throughout his Preschool and Elementary years. Throughout the day, the nanny would be expected to keep their son on his schedule, engage with him in educational activities, and take him outside to explore the world around him. The best nanny should be creative in creating fun activities to do with him both inside and outside the home each day. These activities should foster an educational environment. Their son is clever, gentle, and loves the outdoors. He enjoys pursuits from baking to backyard soccer, visiting Sweetwater Farms, exploring the greenway, going on walks, and all types of art. The family does not allow any screen time for their son and asks that the nanny not use screen time throughout the day. He still naps in the afternoon and is working on potty training. It would be a plus if the nanny had experience with potty training.

This family is a progressive, socially conscious, and Covid cautious family. The family uses natural consequences, no yelling or raising voices, and uses the principles of Dr. Becky when dealing with their son’s occasional big feelings (as all children experience from time to time). When working with their child, the family asks that the nanny follow the same philosophies regarding caring for their child and handling big feelings. If the nanny takes the child on a public indoor outing (Grocery Store, Library, Museum, etc.), the family requires that the nanny and child wear a mask indoors at all times (family will provide masks). They are looking for a nanny who respects and aligns with their values. Both parents work from home in separate office spaces and respect nanny boundaries.

    Nanny Responsibilities Include:

    • Meeting daily scheduling needs of the child (Feeding, Changing, Napping)

    • Engaging with the child on an age-appropriate level

    • Playing with the child both inside and outside the home

    • Doing hands-on learning activities with the child
