Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the Steele Creek area of Charlotte, NC in finding a Full-Time Live-Nanny for their two sons, a newborn and three year old. The Nanny would be needed to work typically between 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday - Friday (with some flexibility needed, with total hours around 30 to 35 hours per week).

The best nanny for this family would be professional, reliable, compassionate, mature, and responsible. The family is also looking for someone who is patient, affectionate, experienced, and fun-loving with kids. The nanny needs to have previous experience with infants/newborn and toddler care. During the times the nanny is on duty they should be focused on meeting the needs of the boys and engaging them in age appropriate activities. Their three year old likes to play board games, do learning and preschool activities, and make art work. The baby is still quite young and likes to go on walks, be read to, and be engaged in age appropriate developmental activities such as tummy time. With the global Covid-19 Pandemic going on in the country and having a newborn in the home, the family is requesting that their live-in nanny be willing to quarantine with them. This includes not traveling outside of the home until the family is comfortable with the nanny going on outings. The family is also requesting their nanny to wear a mask when caring for the children until the pandemic is over (this will not be required on off times when nanny is not in close contact with the children). This will involve for the time being, coming up with creative ways to engage with the children inside and outside of the home.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the children

• Help the children dress appropriately for the day

• Bathing the children as needed

• Changing diapers and helping with potty training down the line

• Engaging with the children on an age appropriate level

• Playing with the children both inside and outside the home

• After the pandemic, with parents approval taking the children on pre-approved age appropriate outings and adventures around town (Story Time, Park, Library, Music Time, and more)

• Planning and scheduling play dates as requested and approved by parents

Household Duties Include:

• The children’s laundry

• Prepping the child’s food and feeding the children

• Washing or putting away dishes, etc.

• Sanitizing bottles, toys, and surfaces

• Stock diapers and other items

• Emptying diaper pail as needed

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional experience

• College degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a national background check, including driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• English proficiency, any additional languages spoken are a bonus

• They would prefer someone who is a vegetarian, or do not eat any beef or pork, and enjoy Indian cuisine

  Must be up to date on vaccinations

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts the mid to end of August

• Legal pay is negotiable depending on experience with room and board provided

• Continued pay while the family is away

• One week of paid time off
