Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the Myers Park Neighborhood of Charlotte, NC in finding a full-time nanny for their 18-month old girl. The nanny would be needed Monday – Friday for 40 to 50 hours a week (8 am – 6pm Monday through Thursday with TBD hours on Friday).

The best nanny for this family would be a punctual, professional, and energetic nanny who loves children and will spend time thinking of and doing creative and educational activities. Their daughter loves to go on walks, play outside, draw, read books, and sing songs. The best nanny for this family would be able to meet and exceed the needs of the child daily and foster a fun learning environment. Their daughter could have a tahini allergy and is being tested to confirm, so she should not be given any foods containing tahini for the time-being.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the child;
• Helping the child dress appropriately for the day;
• Bathing the child as needed;
• Changing diapers and helping with potty training down the line;
• Engaging with the child on an age appropriate level;
• Playing with the child both inside and outside the home;
• Taking the child on pre-approved age appropriate outings and adventures around town (Story-Time, Park, Library, Music Time, and more); and
• Planning and scheduling play dates as requested and approved by parents.

Household Duties Include:

• Doing the child’s laundry;
• Prepping the child’s food and feeding the child;
• Washing or putting away dishes, etc.;
• Sanitizing toys and surfaces;
• Stocking diapers and other items; and
• Emptying trash as needed.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional experience
• Have a college degree or equivalent experience
• Have a professional resume
• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a national background check, including driving record check
• Have a valid driver’s license
• Have safe and reliable transportation
• Have a minimum of three professional references
• Be CPR and First Aid Certified
• Have English proficiency, any additional languages spoken are a bonus

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts in late April or early May (earlier start date may be possible if helpful to nanny)
• Legal pay rate is negotiable at $16.00 - $20.00 an hour, depending on experience
• Continued pay while the family is away
• 1 week of paid vacation / sick time per 6 months of service. Strong preference for paid vacation time during the second half of the year to be taken in late December.
• 5 paid holidays (New Year’s Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) should they occur on a weekday
• Paid mileage for driving on the job (not to and from work)
