Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the Dilworth neighborhood of Charlotte in finding a Full-Time Nanny for their 3 year old daughter. The Nanny would be needed 30-40 hours a week, Monday - Friday, with additional babysitting needs on occasion, requested by the parents. Once school gets back in session, the nanny would be needed to do household duties listed below during the time the child is in school.

The best nanny for this family would be confident, active, be patient, and be a good communicator. The nanny should also be experienced in working with preschool age children, and someone who will support and complement the parent’s parenting and positive discipline style. Their daughter loves to be outside, to be read to, to listen to music, dance, and do arts and crafts. The nanny would be encouraged to be creative and keep her actively engaged in fun learning activities at home. She also likes to go on walks around the neighborhood, and to the park, Library, and other fun activities (once the pandemic restrictions are over and the family feels comfortable). The parents like for her to follow Montessori schooling philosophies and participate in structured independent play. A nanny with any Montessori teaching background would be a major plus, but not mandatory. The dad of this family works at the hospital and takes all precautions to keep his family and home safe. The nanny would need to be comfortable working for a family where a parent works at the hospital. The family is also asking the nanny to follow all CDC and government guidelines at all times, and quarantine to the level the family is most comfortable with.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the child

• Help the child dress appropriately for the day as needed

• Bathing the child as needed

• Engaging with the child on an age appropriate level

• Playing with the child both inside and outside the home

• Once allowed by parents taking the child on pre-approved age appropriate outings and adventures around town (Story Time, Park, Library, Music Time, and more)

• Once allowed by parents planning and scheduling play dates as requested and approved by parents

   

  Household Duties Include:

• The child’s laundry

• Prepping the child’s food and feeding the children

• Light tidying up of kitchen and play areas

• Washing or putting away dishes or loading/unloading the dishwasher

   

  Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional experience

• College degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• English proficiency, any additional languages spoken are a bonus

• Should be up to date on vaccinations

   

  Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts ASAP

• Legal pay is negotiable at $16.00 - $17.00 an hour, depending on experience

• Continued pay while the family is away, a minimum of 30 hours a week will be guaranteed

• Two weeks paid time off

• Paid major holidays

• Paid mileage for driving on the job (Not to and from work)
