Full Time Family Assistant Near Uptown for a family of 2
Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a mom in Charlotte (Near Uptown) in finding a Full-Time Family assistant for her and her three-year-old daughter. The nanny would typically be needed Monday through Thursday, 11:00 am - 7:00 pm, and occasional date nights on Sundays from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Mom is flexible on the hours that the Family Assistant works during this hourly time frame. The hours may sometimes flex if mom is traveling for work or has a special event she has to attend.
The best Family Assistant for this family would be reliable, dependable, and honest. This family is looking for a Family Assistant who will come in and be able to anticipate the daily needs of their home and child. The mom sees this role as a partnership and would like to find a Family Assistant with whom she can collaborate to help her meet the needs of her home and daughter. Each day the Family Assistant will come in after mom has dropped her daughter off at school. The Family Assistant will take care of the household management tasks listed below while their daughter is in school and ensure the home runs smoothly. Then, at 3:00 pm, the Family Assistant would need to pick the child up after school. After School, the Family Assistant should be focused on childcare and engaging with the daughter. The family assistant should be creative in coming up with fun activities for the child inside and outside the home that will foster an enriching educational environment. These activities would include, but not be limited to, Going to the park, visiting the Library, attending local kid-friendly events, going on walks, playing outside, arts and crafts, puzzles, dance parties, building blocks, reading, and imaginative play.
The mom also feels that it would be a plus if the Family Assistant was familiar with Montessori principles or had a Montessori background. However, this is not required. She also attends speech therapy and ballet class weekly (the mom will take her to speech and ballet class). The mom looks at this as a long-term position and is looking for a Family Assistant who will work with her family for years to come.
Childcare Responsibilities Include:
Meeting the daily scheduling needs of the child
Transporting the child home from school and to activities
Engaging with the child on an age-appropriate level
Playing with the child both inside and outside the home
Doing hands-on learning activities with the child
Planning child’s parties and playdates
Household Responsibilities Include (The child is first priority, and the family has a weekly house cleaner.):
Family laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly
Child’s meal prep
Unloading/loading the dishwasher
Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the child
Picking up after the nanny and children throughout the day
Run Errands
Grocery Shop
Light tidying of the home (resetting the home each day). No heavy house cleaning is expected.
Home organizational projects
Pets: The family has one well-trained mid-sized dog. The Family Assistant should be comfortable with a dog in the home and be asked to let the dog out in the yard as needed.
Qualifications:
Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience
Have a college degree or equivalent experience
Have a professional resume

Have a minimum of three professional references
Pass a national background check, including a driving record check and have a clean driving record
Have a valid driver’s license
Have safe and reliable transportation
Must be ok with travel and have a passport or are willing to get one

CPR and First Aid Certified
Nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus (Spanish would be a plus)
Must be up to date on vaccinations, including the COVID-19 vaccine and booster and the annual Flu Vaccine.
Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:
This position starts June 3rd, 2024
Legal pay is offered at $26.00 - $35.00 an hour, negotiable depending on experience
