Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the Myers Park neighborhood of Charlotte, NC in finding a Full-Time Nanny for their 3 year old son and infant. The Nanny would be needed Monday - Wednesday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Thursday 7:00 am – 5:00 pm. Starting July 1st, the hours would change to Monday and Thursday 7:00 – 5:00, and Tuesday and Wednesday 7:30 – 5:30. The family would offer additional hours on Friday and occasional babysitting if the nanny is interested.

The best nanny would know how to keep the children safe at all times. The nanny should also be kind and love the children like their own. The family would like the nanny to be patient, sweet, and affectionate with the children. Other important attributes that the family is looking for in a nanny include: reliability, flexibility, cleanliness, good communication skills, as well as strong organizational and time management skills. The children need a fun, creative, and engaging nanny. Their son likes to play dress up, blocks, legos, fake kitchen, trucks, hide n seek, etc. He also likes arts and crafts, to be read to, backyard fun (water hose, tee ball, tag, treasure hunts), walks around the neighborhood and going to parks. Their baby will need to be kept on a schedule and engaged with on an age-appropriate level that encourages the baby’s growth and development. They have memberships to the Discovery Place museums and The Little Gym. Their hope is to get their children back into these places, along with public libraries (Myers Park Library and Imaginon) for story time and short "outings", when everything is open and safe again. Their son goes to preschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 am-12:00 pm. The nanny may be asked to drive him there and pick him up a mile from the home. In the fall their son will go to this preschool Monday-Thursday (same hours). It is also important to the family that the nanny knows how to discipline in an age-appropriate way. The nanny for this family must follow all CDC and government guidelines pertaining to Covid-19 and be cautious as to avoid exposing themselves and the family to Covid-19. Mom is a dentist but takes all precautions to avoid exposure that she can.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the children
• Help the children dress appropriately for the day
• Bathing the children as needed
• Changing diapers and helping with potty training
• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level
• Playing with the children both inside and outside the home
• Taking the children on pre-approved age-appropriate outings and adventures around town (Story Time, Park, Library, Music Time, and more)
• Planning and scheduling play dates as requested and approved by parents

  Household Duties Include:

• Wash/dry/fold a load of the children's laundry
• Put all toys/mess away at the end of the day.
• Wipe down countertops/table/high chair and crumbs after eating.
• Very simple food prep like: boil a box of pasta, make a box of mac n' cheese, and cut veggies and fruit.
• Washing or putting away dishes, etc.
• Change baby sheets once a week
• Sanitizing bottles, toys, and surfaces
• Stock diapers and other items
• Emptying diaper pail as needed

  Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional experience
• College degree or equivalent experience
• Have a professional resume
• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a national background check, including driving record check
• Have a valid driver’s license
• Have safe and reliable transportation
• Have a minimum of three professional references
• CPR and First Aid Certified
• English proficiency, any additional languages spoken are a bonus

  Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts ASAP
• Legal pay is offered at $18.00 an hour
• Continued pay while the family is away
• Three weeks paid time off (12 days) per year
