Charter One is seeking an experienced Social Media Specialist to join our growing team! A minimum of two years of social media experience is preferred. This full-time, in-office position can be at our office in Wake Forest, NC. The role is responsible for creating social media content, managing social accounts, and working with campaigns for Charter One's east coast clients.

We are looking for a qualified and ambitious individual to help us manage and grow client social media campaigns, including paid social campaigns on Meta, Google, and other social media platforms. Our team and client base are rapidly growing, so we are looking for a team player with a positive, can-do attitude who is ready to jump in and work collaboratively to elevate our east coast social media strategies and tactics.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

• Assist in the creation of creative social media content for internal and external stakeholders across multiple digital platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google, and more.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on the planning and execution of campaigns and strategies.
• Monitor the public and media opinion of Charter One, its clients, and employees.
• Support positive brand and reputation management efforts for all stakeholder groups.
• Lead copywriting and editing efforts for east coast social media content.
• Create content for and manage social media content calendars for southeast client schools.
• Collaborates with the director on paid and organic social media placements.
• Supports the planning and execution of marketing and public relations events for Charter One and its clients, including but not limited to groundbreaking events, open house events, and information sessions.
• Generates, edits, publishes, and shares daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to act and engage.
• Sets up and optimizes company and school pages within managed social media platforms to increase the visibility of client school social content.
• Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.
• Adequate knowledge of SEO.
• Knowledge of online marketing and a basic understanding of major marketing channels.
• Assists with multiple projects as assigned by the director and leadership and works independently in a detail-oriented, fast-paced, fun, innovative, and deadline-driven environment.

• Proven experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist is a must.
• Experience boosting and creating paid Facebook ads in Ads Manager.
• Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

• Proficient in Wrike project management software a plus.
• Experience with project and client management.
• Previous advertising agency experience is a plus.
• Photo and video editing skills a plus.
• Social Sprout experience preferred.
• Basic graphic design experience for the creation of social graphics a plus.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, or related field preferred.
• At least two years of social media experience is preferred.
