    The Finance Manager (Accounting Manager) will be assigned to work with a variety of clients from both CSBM and FOREsight. The Finance Manager (Accounting Manager) role serves as the controller for our clients and requires strong communication skills, project management skills, being organized, team-oriented, knowledge of accrual accounting and ability to partner with key stakeholders. The Finance Manager (Accounting Manager) actively manages all aspects of the finances for multiple clients. In this consulting role, the Finance Manager (Accounting Manager) regularly exercises independent judgment on client financial matters.

     

    Although the scope of work is different at every client, the Finance Manager (Accounting Manager) will be responsible for performing Accounting Manager/Controller level activities as well as other tasks and duties outlined below.

     

    Your Duties:

     

    1. Establishes financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information, and managing accounting team.
    2. Manage and execute the full scope of audits for a variety of non-profit clients
    3. Regularly interact and consult with client leadership, their staff, the governing board of directors/trustees and Finance Committees on financial management
    4. Meets accounting financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
    5. Maintains accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts and adhering to established accounting policies and procedures.
    6. Confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; and preparing financial reports.
    7. Guides finance staff by coordinating work assignments and answering questions.
    8. Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
    9. Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
    10. Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising client leadership on needed actions.
    11. Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
    12. Partner with key stakeholders on financial management.
    13. Analyze and prepare the schedules for annual audits in collaboration with outside CPA firms.
    14. Ability to work with multiple clients both virtually and on-site as required (on-site work will be conducted in accordance with our applicable safety guidelines)

     

     

    You Should Know:

     

    1. Microsoft Office 365 with strong knowledge of Excel.
    2. QuickBooks, Intacct, FundEZ or similar accounting software.
    3. Payroll Management Software (ADP, Paychex, or similar).

    Your Education & Experience:

     

    1. Bachelor’s degree.
    2. 6+ years of accounting, financial reporting and financial management experience, including audit management.
    3. Prior experience managing and prioritizing the work of team members is preferred.
    4. Prior experience managing multiple projects and clients is preferred.
    5. Prior experience working in a non-profit, charter school or socially responsible organization is a plus.

    While the ability to travel to client locations and to work onsite with clients is an essential part of the Accounting Manager position, we are allowing some flexibility for team members to work virtually to the extent possible through 2022.
