    Check My Ads Institute is an independent watchdog reshaping the digital adtech industry. Check My Ads is a non-partisan, non-political organization that is dedicated to building a healthier media ecosystem through advocacy directed at the adtech industry. Check My Ads has taken millions of dollars of funding out of the disinformation economy.

    The Social Media Producer will develop, produce, and distribute original thumb-stopping content on an everyday basis. Leaning into viral trends, you will be tasked with increasing social traffic with the ideation, development, editing, and execution of both long form and short form content for distribution on TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook. Must have a love for media, internet culture, social media, digital trends, emerging platforms, and storytelling and a strong understanding of social content consumption.

    This role will report directly to the Chief Content Officer.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Create and edit thumb-stopping original content for TikTok, Reels, Stories and more, identifying relevant trends and adapting them to fit brand voice and audience.
    • Source, schedule and engage with viral content from TikTok, Twitter and Instagram creators.
    • Reference the brand guidelines and requirements when sourcing and creating content, ensuring posts are consistent with the brand voice, style and tone.
    • Responsible for meeting weekly growth goals to help build a passionate audience to spread CMA's mission and messages.
    • Provide weekly reports and insights to senior team

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Education: Preferred BA/BS or relevant work experience
    • Experience: 2-4 years of experience creating video content for social media and/or content strategy for a variety of companies
    • Technologies: Plus if you have access to desktop & mobile editing software
    • Other Experience/Skills:
      • Experience creating mobile content for the web and growing a social audience
      • Creative mindset that understands what news-centric audiences consume on social media and how to create it
      • Ability to analyze traffic and engagement metrics and use data to make creative decisions
      • Strong judgment and the ability to make decisions independently

    DETAILS: This is a six month contract, remote position. Candidates must be available to work with availability between 12N – 4P ET.

    All contact should start with a portfolio of no fewer than a dozen executions, at least 4 of which are from the same campaign/ company, and a 1 page audience growth dashboard snapshot.
