Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Checkpoint Support Agents. In this role, you will help create a smooth and welcoming experience for travelers by assisting passengers through the security process, maintaining an organized checkpoint area, and supporting overall passenger flow. Ideal candidates are reliable, friendly, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where exceptional service and professionalism are essential. You will play an important part in ensuring travelers feel supported and informed as they move through the airport while upholding safety, service, and operational standards.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact politely and professionally with passengers and staff.
- Assist passengers with special needs and general inquiries.
- Escort passengers to designated areas as needed.
- Provide bins and bowls and keep them stocked for passengers.
- Transfer bins from the exit of the X-ray machine back to the entrance.
- Properly collect and dispose of non-hazardous confiscated liquids.
- Support queuing, crowd control, and other passenger flow functions.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the checkpoint area, including bins and bowls.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Provide clear instructions to passengers on security procedures.
- Assist with preparing passengers for screening (e.g., removing electronics, liquids, shoes as required)
- Monitor checkpoint lines and support efficient queue flow.
- Restock checkpoint supplies (sanitizer, tissues, disposable items, etc.)
- Assist with directing passengers to the correct lanes (pre-check, standard, family lanes, etc.)
- Communicate any issues or concerns to supervisory staff.
- Assist with managing found items and ensuring proper handling procedures.
- Support maintaining a safe environment by reporting hazards or unsafe behavior.
Experience Preferences:
- Prior experience in hospitality, transportation, or high-traffic environments.
- Experience in fast-paced or high-stress customer service roles.
- Experience de-escalating or calmly managing frustrated customers.
- Familiarity with airport or transportation operations.
- Ability to use handheld communication devices (radios).
- Experience performing duties that require consistent attention to detail.
- Ability to follow regulatory or procedural guidelines accurately.
- Prior experience working with individuals with special needs or mobility challenges.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Frequent bending, pushing, lifting.
- Must be able to lift 60+ pounds without assistance.
- Ability to work in a busy, high-traffic airport setting.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
Education Preferences:
- Additional customer service or safety-related training
Training Schedule:
- Mandatory training required prior to starting.
- Training will cover customer service expectations, workplace safety, airport procedures, and uniform standards.
Schedule:
- Must be available to work 7 days per week, including holidays.
- Schedules may vary based on operational needs.
- Shifts may be adjusted, extended, or reduced as required.

Dress Code:
- Company-issued uniform must be worn at all times while on duty.
- Uniform must be neat, clean, properly fitted, and in good condition.
- Footwear must meet safety requirements.
- Any employee not in uniform may be suspended from duty until corrected.
