    Job Description

    The INTERN  will have an assignment as a current college student with career interests in the administrative support or operational management areas of the facility. This can include assignments in Finance, Legal, Logistics (Supply Chain), Export Compliance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Quality or Facilities Management. These assignments can include a wide variety of challenging tasks and opportunities offered through the Intern Program. 

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

    •  It is recognized that the Intern has as the primary responsibility and priority of successfully completing all of the classes enrolled during the time of the Internship.
    • Work on defined tasks under close supervision by departmental management.
    • Assist in daily administrative duties with in the department.
    • Assist with preparing and reviewing work produced in the department.
    • Participate in internal meetings to coordinate work with other team members, as requested.
    • Assignments may include specific daily tasks, fill-in work for absent fulltime employees, special projects and team-based efforts with other departments.
    • Work may include real time processing and direct interface with company data systems.
    • Assignments may be other continuous improvement activities.
    • Projects could be workflow analysis for task design based on assigned duties.
    • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

     AUTHORITIES:

    •  Daily operational delegation.

     BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS:

    • Communicates with others with in the overall department.
    • Working with other departments.
    • Human Resources.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

     MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION

    • High School
    • Majoring in an array of college majors, especially Engineering, Finance/Accounting, Production Management, pre-Law, Business and appropriate Liberal Arts; with an interest in defense industry.

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • Functional (Using Skill Set); Entry Level
    • Management; Entry Level
    • Industry: Entry Level

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES REQUIRED (Unique and Measurable):

    • Good attitude essential for team-based working.
    • Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment.
    • Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges based on the level of education attained.
    • Willingness to submit to a drug screen and successfully pass
    • Willingness to submit to a background check.
    • Proper documentation to show eligibility to work in the US.
    • Action Oriented.
    • Curious and willing to learn.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Works well with people a diverse group of people.
