    Job Description

    A Human Resource Coordinator at Checkpoint Systems is a well-rounded HR professional who works, in collaboration with the HR team to support the human resource’s function. This position actively promotes initiatives and programs which increase employee visibility, connectedness, recognition and active participation with a focus on fostering positive relationships and open communication with all members of the Checkpoint community. The HR Coordinator is one who is never compromising on the standards of service delivery and constantly serves as a steward for the function through every interaction, every day. In this role you will have an opportunity to utilize and grow your human resources skills while working closely with an experienced team of HR professionals.     JOB DUTIES

    • Aids in the recruitment of Checkpoint Employees for both onsite and remote
    • This includes working with recruiting agencies, technical schools, and Universities
    • Prepare and ensure all new hire documents and paperwork is completed and submitted to payroll.
    • Present New Hire Orientation Company Practices and Policies
    • Assist in creating onboarding training documentation, this may include working with Supervisors and Team Leads.
    • Goes to recruiting events and meets with technical schools and universities to foster a relationship for recruitment and branding.
    • Performing administrative duties (i.e., data entry, electronic filing, order office supplies, process invoices, etc.)
    • Ensuring annual compliance trainings are completed by all staff.
    • Assisting employee recognition programs and engagement initiatives.
    • Assisting HR team in providing content for the Checkpoint monthly newsletter and Checkpoint TV
    • Projects, activities, and other duties as required.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelor's degree with 1 year of HR experience or an equivalent experience is preferred.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Previous experience working as a team member for an organization. Prefer previous office work experience.
    • Possessing initiative, sound judgment, attention to detail and organizational savvy with the capacity to exercise discretion in working with highly confidential and sensitive matters.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to compose and edit written communications.
    • Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy, with exceptional employee facing skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to successfully prioritize when faced with requests, demands and deadlines.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop systems and procedures with an eye toward continuously improving process in place, as well as identifying opportunities for new ones.
    • Demonstrates strong technical knowledge and places a high priority on modernization and enhanced technology in office automation.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

    • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
    • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Positive, upbeat individual who can work well with a diverse workforce.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Detail Oriented.
