Capital Gymnastics NTC – Burke, VA Full-Time | Evenings & Weekends

Capital Gymnastics NTC is seeking a positive, dependable Cheer Coach to support our cheer and tumbling programs. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with youth athletes and contributing to a safe, energetic, and team-oriented gym environment.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Cheer Coach during recreational and competitive cheer practices

Teach and reinforce proper cheer techniques including motions, jumps, basic stunts, and tumbling skills

Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive training environment

Support conditioning, choreography, and routine clean-up as directed

Assist with competition preparation and special events as needed

Communicate professionally with athletes, parents, and staff

Follow all gym policies, safety procedures, and coaching standards

Qualifications

Cheerleading or gymnastics background preferred

Experience working with children in a coaching or instructional setting

Basic knowledge of cheer skills and safe spotting techniques

Reliable, positive attitude and strong communication skills

Availability for evenings and weekends

Must pass background check and complete required safety training

Preferred (Not Required)

USASF or equivalent cheer/tumbling certification

Competitive cheer experience

Tumbling instruction experience

Compensation

Compensation is competitive and negotiable based on experience, certifications, and qualifications
