    Job Description

    The position resides on our School Food Operations team and reports to the Senior Operations Specialist of Assessment. This position will provide support to the assessment team, including Get Schools Cooking, Healthy School Food Pathway, SCALE, and Specialized Programming, with a focus on administrative support for the Senior Operations Specialist of Assessment. We are looking for a detail oriented person with experience working in an administrative support role. The Assessment Associate is a key support staff member for CAF and is a great position for a highly organized, self-starter with excellent communication, schedule coordination, proofreading, note taking, and writing skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with the Senior Operations Specialist of Assessment, Program Coordinator of Assessment, and California Program Coordinator of Assessment to support assessment related functions and tasks, from an administrative aspect.

    • Provide support for Get Schools Cooking, Healthy School Food Pathway, SCALE, and Specialized Programming.

    • Provide administrative support to the team/organization, including note taking, scheduling benchmarks, check-ins, meetings, prepare PowerPoint and Google Slides presentations, etc

    • Create report templates, populate information into templates as directed, and proofread documents.

    • Create and update spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

    • Maintain organization of program files on Google Drive.

    • Support coordination of project deadlines and maintenance of internal project management tools.

    • Support assessment-related research projects as assigned

    • Maintain understanding and awareness of federal and state policies as they relate to program operations

    • Coordinate logistics for SF Operations team travel and special events

    • Other duties as assigned

    Position Requirements

    • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative support role

    • Associates or Bachelors degree preferred

    • Outstanding proofreading and editing skills

    • Excellent organizational skills

    • High level of computer proficiency including but not limited to Google (G Suite), Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Canva, Salesforce, Moodle and/or GQueues preferred

    • Ability to travel for work up to 4-6 times per year.

    • Ability to work virtually

    Compensation

    Compensation ranges between $42,573 - $48,000 per year and will be commensurate with the candidate’s previous experience and credentials.
