    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The position resides on our Programs team and reports to the Sr. Coordinator of Operator Support Programs. This Program Coordinator role is responsible for project management of school food operator support resources, including The Lunch Box and SCALE, and providing program support for Specialized Programming as needed. 

    • The Lunch Box (TLB) is an online toolkit that provides free step-by-step guides, tools, recipes and other resources to help schools improve their meal programs and convert to scratch-cooking.
    • Scratch Cooking Assessment & Learning Evaluation (SCALE) helps districts review and assess their own school food programs, and then connect with useful resources and guides.
    • Specialized programming presents a unique opportunity for a district or multiple districts to receive individualized and direct support for improving their meal programs, including Virginia Food for Virginia Food, Arizona Creating Your Kitchen, and implementation work in California districts as well as in other states.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for customer service to ensure the delivery of high-quality programming and resources through TLB and SCALE;
    • Maintain up-to-date resources and links on The Lunch Box and collaborate with Programs and School Food Operations teams to identify priorities for new resource additions;
    • Collaborate with School Food Operations and Technology teams on SCALE continuous improvement opportunities to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders;
    • Work both independently and collaboratively with internal (School Food Operations and Programs teams) and external partners (school food operators, funders and program partners), and incorporate stakeholder feedback as aligned with our mission;
    • Ensure online operator support resources are implemented at the highest level and represent the organization’s commitment to quality, result-driven programming.

    BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide top-notch customer service to school food operators and advocates using The Lunch Box and SCALE;
    • Support implementation of key program components as part of other CAF programming, such as leveraging SCALE reports to guide district technical assistance projects;
    • Collaborate with Technology and Marketing teams to launch and share resources to support school district food service operators;
    • Credit scratch-cooking recipes to ensure standardization and use by school food operators to meet USDA child nutrition guidelines;
    • Support maintenance and expansion of online K-12 recipe database;
    • Serve as the point-of-contact for troubleshooting needs on The Lunch Box and SCALE websites;
    • Communicate with technical and lay audiences about training, troubleshooting, updates, improvements, and needs;
    • Support and maintain relationships related to programming;
    • Condense large amounts of information into easy-to-read reports, including data collection, cleaning and chart creation;
    • Maintain understanding and awareness of federal and state policies affecting child nutrition programs;
    • Contribute to presentation of program information and collaborations;
    • Other duties as assigned.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    • Ability to travel for work;
    • Ability to learn and engage with learning technology programs;
    • Experience in USDA child nutrition programs referred;
    • Experience in customer service and/or technical assistance delivery preferred;
    • Experience in maintaining online programs/resources/databases preferred;
    • Bachelor’s Degree in nutrition, dietetics or related field preferred;
    • Registered Dietitian credential/certification/licensure strongly preferred;
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and GSuite platforms;
    • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred;
    • Ability to work virtually.

    COMPENSATION

    Compensation ranges between $46,500-$58,000 per year and will be commensurate with the candidate’s previous experience and credentials. The Chef Ann Foundation is a great place to work and provides its staff with a competitive benefits package, including health insurance reimbursement, professional development, a generous paid time off program, and a 403(b) retirement plan. We are a fully-remote organization whose headquarters are located in Boulder, CO, with team members spread across the US. This position is remote and can be based anywhere in the U.S.
