Teach and develop the line cooks, and establish a team of both breakfast and dinner cooks that meet the needs of the hotel.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute innovative seasonal menus that reflect local ingredients.
Oversee kitchen operations to ensure high standards of food quality and presentation.
Manage inventory and ordering of supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food preparation and storage.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Monitor kitchen performance and implement necessary improvements.
Stay updated with culinary trends to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chef in an upscale restaurant setting.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional cooking experience.
Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
Passion for culinary excellence and guest satisfaction.
Current food handler's permit and knowledge of food safety regulations.
Creativity and a keen eye for detail in food presentation.
