    Part-Time Front Desk Associate/Cashier - Sky Rink Chelsea Piers New York 10 reviews - New York, NY 10011 Part-time Sky Rink, Manhattan's only year-round indoor skating rink, is seeking a Part-Time Front Desk Associate/Cashier. The schedule is variable and includes weekend days. Qualifications * Must have superior customer service skills. * One to two years of prior cashier experience preferred * Must be punctual, reliable, friendly, motivated and alert * Must have excellent verbal communication skills and be able to comfortably interact with customers, both via the telephone and face-to-face * Must maintain professional and courteous manner at all times. * Must be an energetic self-starter seeking to work in a sports environment * Must have a strong attention to detail and be well organized. * Must have excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written. * Must enjoy working in an active, team environment. * Must be able to multitask during high activity times. Primary Responsibilities * To create and enhance relationships between Sky Rink patrons and Chelsea Piers * Provide outstanding customer service & be knowledgeable of all Sky Rink programming * Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times including the wearing of assigned nametag and uniform * Be on time and prepared to work promptly at the start of the scheduled shift * Receive payments at the front desk and follow all proper cashier drawer procedures for opening and closing daily shifts * Take attendance for drop-in programming (Freestyles, Stick & Puck, Open Hockey, etc.) as required to verify that all customers have paid. * Direct customers to their desired programs and events. * Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming way and say thank you and invite them back on the way out. * Properly answer the front desk phones and respond to or efficiently direct the calls to the appropriate departments. * Provide correct information to patrons regarding directions, site information, other Chelsea Piers offerings, etc. * Help customers book first time lessons.

    • Have a working knowledge of the rink management software as it relates to customer accounts and daily rink schedules * Maintain orderly and tidy office space. * Provide helpful assistance to all Chelsea Piers staff and guests. * Other business-related duties deemed necessary by Controller and Front Desk manager.
