Job Description

The Sealants, Adhesives & MRO representative {“MRO Rep”) is an entry level sales position within the SOPREMA Group focused on promoting the sealant, adhesive, and maintenance, repair & operations (“MRO”) products manufactured by the SOPREMA Group companies, to an incredibly broad and diverse marketplace.    The position’s focus is largely new business development, but also requires customer retention, upsell and maintenance (“RUM”) activities necessary to support and expand the exiting customer base. 

Sales route planning will be the most critical management & planning skill to learn and apply, in order to achieve success as an MRO Sales Rep;  Frequent use of the SOPREMA Group’s Salesforce platforms is required to ensure effective and professional follow-up. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
•  Previous background in contracting or building product distribution and sales a plus
•  Secondary language skills a plus
•  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

EXCEPTIONAL WORK SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

• This position will require regular, frequent travel within the district, which may also include up to 50% overnight travel.  Minimal travel to SOPREMA Group company facilities throughout the United States and Canada may also be required. 
• The MRO Rep can also expect some after-hours meetings and weekend activities as required to accomplish job responsibilities. 
• Daily work schedule can vary depending on circumstances.

WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The MRO Rep shall be in excellent physical condition, as required. Specifically, the physical demands of the MRO Rep include, but are not limited to:  

• Driving long distances
• Flying in an airplane
• Climbing and descending stairs and ladders 
• Lifting a minimum of 50 pounds
• Excellent dexterity
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via telephone, in person and in writing
