Chemical Processing Operator — Entry Level Pacific Magnetic & Penetrant, Co. Inc. 6829 Farmdale Ave, North Hollywood https://pacificmagnetic.com/

PAY GUIDANCE - $18.47 / hr SCHEDULE - Full-time 7:30am-4pm (with breaks), 40 hrs/wk + ~0–6 hrs weekly OT LOCATION - North Hollywood, CA (on-site, outdoor covered bay) EXPERIENCE - No experience required – training provided

About the Role NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! Pacific Magnetic is a growing aerospace non-destructive testing (NDT) and metal finishing provider in North Hollywood. We're hiring a Chemical Processing Operator to help our material finishing line — cleaning, passivating, and chemically etching precision machined components before they go to inspection. This is hands-on production work that directly supports flight-critical aerospace and defense hardware. This is steady work in a stable company that has been in operation for over 30 years.

What the Job Actually Involves (please read before applying) We'd rather you know exactly what you're signing up for than have you find out on day one:

Outdoor work area with sun coverage vast majority of the time — expect real heat in summer and cold mornings in winter. This is not a climate-controlled shop.

Full PPE required for chemical tank work: respirator, chemical-resistant apron, gloves, and boots. You'll be suited up for a meaningful part of your shift and it can get very hot.

Physical demands: standing for extended periods, and lifting/handling metal parts up to 35 lbs, including fragile and expensive machined components that require careful handling.

Stable and consistent work schedule: 40 hours/week 7:30am-4pm Monday-Friday plus overtime as mutually agreed – typically 0-4 hours of overtime most weeks (paid at 1.5x after 8 hrs/day or 40 hrs/week)

    Responsibilities

Process parts and hardware per customer and supervisor instructions

Package and sort parts before and after chemical processing

    Other duties as assigned

    What We're Looking For

No prior chemical-processing experience required — we will provide all training necessary. What matters more:

A good and respectful attitude. Able work in a team and to take direction from supervisor(s).

Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs in outdoor heat while wearing PPE

Follow safety procedures exactly, every time — this is non-negotiable in a chemical environment

Reliable and show up to work every day. Attendance is important

Comfortable with a physically demanding, hands-on job and doesn't need a climate-controlled environment

Able to multitask and follow instructions with minimal supervision

Growth Path: NDT Certification This role is a potential entry point into Non-Destructive Testing — one of the better-paying, more stable career tracks in aerospace manufacturing. Strong performers who want to move up may be sponsored by the Company toward NDT Level II certifications (e.g., magnetic particle, fluorescent penetrant inspection per NAS 410), which come with a meaningful pay increase. Many current NDT technicians at the company started as chemical processing line operators.

    Requirements

Due to ITAR requirements, all applicants must be able to provide legal proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.

Reliable transportation to the North Hollywood site.

    Benefits

Medical, dental, and paid time off for eligible employees

Defined path toward NDT certification and higher pay for highest performers

    Overtime pay per California law
