Chemist - Plastics Manufacturing - Base Salary to 80k/year - Los Angeles, CA

• Our client, a leading Plastic Film Manufacturer, is seeking a Chemist to perform chemical and physical testing on raw materials and finished products, while providing technical support for product development and investigative processes.
  
• In this role, the Chemist will conduct material testing, support method development and equipment validation, maintain lab operations, and assist in resolving manufacturing issues and improving processes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform chemical and physical testing on raw materials and finished products in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
  
• Support the development and validation of new testing methods and laboratory equipment.
  
• Assist in the creation and analysis of product data sheets.
  
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment as part of the preventive maintenance program.
  
• Manage laboratory supply inventory to ensure operational readiness.
  
• Contribute to product development initiatives and support investigations as needed.
  
• Provide technical support to resolve manufacturing issues, drive process improvements, and assist with customer complaint investigations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience in a related field
  
• Knowledge of quality systems, including relevant procedures and the Quality Manual
  
• Familiarity with USP and EU Pharmacopeia testing methodologies
  

Compensation:

• Compensation for this role includes a base salary up to 80k/year. Our client also offers competitive health and life benefits & 401k.
