    The Spa Massage Therapist Supervisor position is responsible for orchestrating the many functions in the spa.

    Will keep the spa functioning smoothly by ensuring that our team members can operate with peak efficiency. The Spa Supervisor will coordinate and communicate effectively an inspiring example of spa citizenship; responsibility and resourcefulness by asserting, protection and demonstrating our core values; to provide team members with a consistent “voice” to upper management. The Spa Supervisor is required to adhere to the mission and values of Widewaters Hotels, LLC.

    What you will be doing

    Ensure guests are greeted and welcomed upon arrival and offering the amenities of the spa to ensure their complete comfort and satisfaction.

    Responsible for overseeing scheduling, confirming, and guarantee all appointments according to company procedures to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.

    Ensure excellent customer service to clients and guests is provided in person and over the phone.

    Ensures clients are courteously and efficiently checked in and out by spa staff receptionists.

    Ensures sales transactions, and POS data are performed accurately.

    Follow procedures and maintain a high standard of accuracy.

    Monitors walk-in retail sales.

    Oversees stocking and maintenance of client amenities.

    Ensures spa tours with guest are done professionally and effectively.

    Attend and participate in all staff, team, and educational training/meetings.

    Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up with guest to ensure satisfaction.

    Ensures cleanliness of work areas throughout the day is complete.

    Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support team to reach goals.

    Oversee all wedding and social group bookings. Establish contracts with clients to assure payment is collected and account for cancellations. Book service form itineraries and determines if a special rate needs to be established and contacts cosmetologists to adjust schedules if people need to be added to the schedule to meet the group’s request.

    Create service providers schedules in advance to ensure shifts are covered adequately and adjust schedules accordingly while being aware of employees that may be reaching overtime and communicates to schedule to staff members effectively.

    Handles guests’ complaints in a professional manner and determines fair compensation when necessary.

    Effectively manage and oversee all inventory and ordering and the appearance of merchandising and displays. Effectively communicates new products to staff.

    Adequately performs the key functions of administration and training for service, sales and scheduling of staff members.

    Supervisory responsibilities

    Oversee time clock or other time reporting procedures to ensure staff are reporting on time and make corrections when needed.

    Assist in overall personnel supervision. Mediate problems, create and present training programs, and effectively communicate and enforce company rules and regulations.

    Support upper management with staff performance evaluations, personnel issues, customer complaints and participation in termination proceedings as needed.

    Successfully interfaces with the upper management to report operational statistics, personal issues, sales and service performance.

    Requirements

    High School Degree or Equivalent.

    Active Massage Therapist License

    Minimum of 2 years experience in a Spa environment and previous supervisor and training experience required.

    Must possess knowledge of the hospitality industry and have sound administrative skills.

    Strong Guest Service Skills

    Ability to work on PMS/POS software.

    Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and co-workers.

    Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.

    Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.

    Must possess basic computational ability.

    Must possess basic computer skills

    Ability to supervise situations and accomplish goals on a timely basis.
