    Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at a vibrant and family-friendly yacht club. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for culinary excellence, be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and have experience in managing kitchen operations. This role offers the opportunity to not only showcase your culinary skills but also to take on additional responsibilities in staff management and kitchen organization.

    Food Preparation and Cooking:

    Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following established recipes and standards.

    Ensure food quality and presentation meet the club's standards.

    Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas.

    Opening and Closing Duties:

    Assist with opening and closing procedures, including setting up and breaking down the kitchen.

    Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and stored at the end of each shift.

    Staff Management:

    Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, delegating tasks as needed.

    Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and kitchen protocols.

    Provide leadership and support to kitchen team members, fostering a positive work environment.

    Inventory Management:

    Assist in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and placing orders for ingredients and supplies.

    Rotate and organize inventory to minimize waste and ensure freshness.

    Menu Development:

    Collaborate with the chef and management team to develop and refine menu offerings.

    Contribute creative ideas for seasonal specials and promotions.

    Compliance and Safety:

    Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

    Maintain compliance with health and safety standards, including proper handling and storage of food.

    Requirements:

    Proven experience as a line cook or similar role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment.

    Strong culinary skills and a passion for food.

    Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    Experience in staff management and leadership.

    Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

    Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

    Certification from a culinary school or relevant training program is a plus.
