Seeking an Experienced Legal Assistant Do you want to serve and help people get justice and compensation for their injuries? We are a personal injury and criminal defense law firm that is on track for aggressive growth and we need an experienced legal assistant to join our team and work directly with the owners and attorneys to support the team and help our clients. We believe in being the strongest advocate for our clients and ensuring them that they had a team behind them that really cared and fought for them. We are growing fast, and we need a legal assistant who can hit the ground running. We are in need of a legal assistant with experience in handling personal injury cases. This is a great working environment and we thrive on continous growth and education for our team. The ideal candidate will be able to take the initiative on work that needs to be done and complete tasks with minimal hand holding. This is a full-time job where you are expected to manage a caseload, so you absolutely must be able to work in the office for 40 hours per week. Pay will be based on experience and knowledge. This is an hourly position with opportunities for increase and bonus compensation for those who can demonstrate their profitability. Responsibilities: • Build customer relationships with existing clients by reaching out via phone calls, emails, and/or other forms of communication to update them on the status of their case • Drafting documents and correspondence to Insurance Adjusters to provide updates and to quickly resolve the cases for our clients • Manage the attorney calendar for deadlines, court appearances, hearings, and depositions to allow the team to be well prepared • Request, manage, and organize client medical records and legal documents to ensure they are received in a timely matter Qualifications: The best candidate for this position will have the following characteristics: • You smile when you answer the phone • You are an amazing scheduler with a sickening degree of attention to detail • You enjoy helping and working with people • You are an awesome juggler of tasks and can change gears quickly while maintaining organization with all of the tasks • You do not mind scanning and copying documents Compensation: $17 - $26 hourly
