Summer Enrichment Instructor

Providence Middle School's Summer RAMpage program offers field trips, high-interest enrichment activities, and recreation to rising seventh and eighth graders. Enrichment instructors lead three, 45-minute sessions of enrichment activities daily and accompany students on field trips. The program will take place at Robious Middle School, located at 2701 Robious Crossing Drive, Midlothian, VA 23113.

Salary: $30/hour

Reports to: Site Coordinator/Assistant Site Coordinator

• Patient and implement best practices when working with middle school-aged youth
• Passionate about the activity you teach. Are you a music-making maestro, a knitting master, or maybe a gaming genius? Bring your specialized skill to share with the students.

As an enrichment instructor, you are responsible for:

• Creating a group culture that encourages group thinking, curiosity, and discovery
• Collaborating with other staff to design and implement daily lesson plans and activities
• Implementing RAMpage's expectations and behavior system
• Engaging every student in your class
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of the students in your class
• Communicating concerns and/or suggestions to Site Coordinator

Hours: This is a part-time, hourly position. The program runs Monday through Thursday, June 26 – July 6, from 1 pm to 5 pm. There is no program on Tuesday, July 4th. Field trips are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays. Hours for field trips will vary.
