    Chica Project (CP) is a nonprofit organization comprised of diverse leaders, professionals, and volunteers throughout Massachusetts.     About the Role 

    CP is looking for two Marketing and Communications (M&C) Interns to manage the online presence of the organization and support the communication management for programs, fundraisers, and events. M&C interns will have direct impact of CP's marketing campaigns and social media presence. The successful candidates will implement CP's brand guide, guaranteeing that all organization collateral is brand compliant. Reporting to the Executive Director, these individuals will work closely with the M&C team to effectively brand and promote the organization. THIS IS A PAID OPPORTUNITY. 

    About You 

    Chica Project is looking for someone who is mission-driven, with a positive attitude to help build and solidify our communication and brand presence at a critical moment of growth for our organization. This is a valuable opportunity for interns to gain experience in the nonprofit sector, develop communications, marketing, and fundraising skills, and join a powerful network of women in Massachusetts. Further qualifications include:

    • Passionate about youth development, social justice, and community building 
    • Experience in social media management strongly preferred
    • Experience working with communities of color and grassroots organizations, with understanding of systemic oppressions
    • Interest in data and social media metrics 
    • Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bilingual: Proficiency or fluency in Spanish and/or Haitian Creole is preferred
    • Strong writing preferred 
    • A great sense of humor!
    • Love of continuous learning

    Responsibilities: 

    The position will be mainly responsible for the following areas, but duties can expand beyond central responsibilities of:

    • Co-create and manage content for CP's social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok)
    • Collaborate with M&C team to develop marketing strategies, content, posting schedules, and event flyers
    • Execute goals around growth of social media engagement and presence
    • Help craft quarterly analytic reports assessing results against goals
    • Engage with community members across all social media platforms by responding to direct messages, comments, and engaging with followers
    • Maintain CP's photo drive and collaborate with staff to archive photos from programming and events
    • Attend community based events to capture content for social media posts
