    ABOUT THE ROLE 

    CHICA PROJECT is looking for a Marketing and Communications (M&C) Management Fellow to support the enhancement of its marketing and communications process and take on related administrative duties. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the impact of CHICA PROJECT's marketing campaigns and social media presence, playing a leadership role in cross-team collaboration, delegation, and project management. Reporting to the Executive Director, this individual will work closely with the M&C team to effectively brand and promote the organization, while ensuring all internal processes run smoothly. This fellowship opportunity is for the 2022-2023 academic year, starting on August 22nd, 2022 and ending late June of 2023 and requires a commitment of 12-15 weekly hours. THIS IS A PAID OPPORTUNITY.

    ABOUT YOU 

    CHICA PROJECT is looking for someone who is mission-driven, with a positive attitude to play a critical role in the management and delegation of all marketing and communications related projects. This is a valuable opportunity for this individual to gain experience in the nonprofit sector, project management skills, and join a powerful network of women in Massachusetts and beyond. Further qualifications include:

    • Passionate about youth development, social justice, and community building
    • Experience in social media management strongly preferred
    • Experience working with communities of color and grassroots organizations, with understanding of systemic oppressions
    • Interest in data and social media metrics
    • Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Multilingual (Spanish, Portuguese or Haitian Creole preferred)
    • Willingness to learn software management
    • Strong organizational and project management skills
    • A great sense of humor!
    • Love of continuous learning

    RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    The position will be mainly responsible for the following areas, but duties can expand beyond central responsibilities of:

    • Manage design requests and delegation of work accordingly (CHICA PROJECT uses asana as a project management tool and hootsuite for social media management)
    • Collaborate with M&C team to develop marketing strategies, content, posting schedules, and event flyers
    • Execute goals around growth of social media engagement and presence
    • Help craft quarterly analytic reports assessing results against goals
    • Lead internal and cross-team communication as it relates to design requests and M&C updates
    • Maintain CHICA PROJECT's marketing and communications drive, collaborating with staff to archive photos from programming and events
