    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Chick-fil-A of Cedar Park and Leander is seeking a Catering Coordinator: a leader in the Restaurant dedicated to increasing catering sales inside and outside the Restaurant and ensuring smooth operations of catering functions for the guest and staff alike. Selected candidate must be 21 years or older in order to drive our catering vehicle.

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist Restaurant Director, Food Safety Director and Marketing Director in identifying catering opportunities and following up through phone calls and visits to potential catering guests. Reports directly to Restaurant Director.

    • Deliver a “ REMARK ”able pick up and/or delivery guest experience.

    • Follow up with every guest for feedback and to inquire about their recent experience when Marketing Director is unable to perform task.

    • Ensure Team Members are following all catering procedures.

    • Participation and leadership in events that are “REMARK” able by having a Cow Mascot appearance or offering the Chick- fil-A tent for outdoor special events when appropriate. Ensure that events are decorated with Mini Plush Cows, branded mints, balloons, etc.

    • Primary point-person for deliveries, catering prep, and daily catering communications for team (kitchen and front-of-house) and guests.

    • Willing to engage in cow appearances as the Cow if needed.

    • Willing to engage in hospitality team member duties as needed during off catering periods.

    • Willing to travel to both locations of the organization to meet catering needs both during the day and night shifts.

    GOALS

    • Grow catering sales with current customers using restaurant tools
    • Deepen guest relationships through confidence-building touch-points
    • Improve and systematize processes to provide a fast, stress-free catering process for guests and staff

    IN-RESTAURANT RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work closely with operations and kitchen staff to ensure the Restaurant has all food and paper goods needed to prepare upcoming catering orders.
    • Ensure the catering equipment and catering area in the Restaurant are clean and organized.
    • Create and maintain documentation around all Restaurant catering procedures. Create a training program for new Team Leaders and all Team Members involved in catering.
    • Continually evaluate all catering guest services. Create a culture of continuous improvement and communicate operational improvement ideas to Operator and/or Executive Leadership Team.

    IN–COMMUNITY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist Catering Director in being an ambassador for the brand by building relationships with local community members on an ongoing basis.
    • Assist Catering Director in maintaining and growing existing catering relationships (i.e., surprise and delight a guest at work with his or her favorite Chick-fil-A menu item, mail a handwritten thank you note thanking a guest for his or her partnership with Chick-fil-A.)

    SKILLS & QUALITIES

    The ideal Catering Assistant candidate will exhibit the following qualities:

    • Proven self-starter; follows detailed instruction well
    • Strong leadership skills; previous experience is a plus
    • Capable and passionate about building relationships with guests
    • Organized, strong planning and project management skills
    • Ability to keep proper records and documentation of sales
    • Strong communication skills
    • Detailed and observant
    • Ability to multi-task and delegate responsibility when appropriate
    • Ability to make decisions quickly
    • Resilient; able to handle setbacks
    • Flexibility of schedule (including Saturdays, holiday weekends, and seasonal business)
    • Must be 21 years or older in order to drive our catering vehicle
