College Major: Food Science, Biology, Business Management
Undergraduate classification: Junior or Senior
GPA Requirement of 3.2 or above
Previous Work Experience: 1-2 years (preferred)
Responsibilities:
Complete weekly Pathway Training Modules with a written summary of the key points learned
Complete weekly In-House SAFE Inspections with Kitchen Director
Track and monitor areas of opportunity for improvement in Food Safety
Host huddles to discuss daily Food Safety Focuses and best practices
Develop a new Food Safety Knowledge Test for Team Members
Attend one-on-one meetings with Back of House Leaders to learn about each of their Areas of Ownership
Remain flexible due to COVID-19 adjustments
In-Restaurant Responsibilities:
Train, and work, all Back of House positions to gain hands-on experience and understanding of operations
Perform Daily ERQA’s to assess Food Quality
Complete daily Deep Cleans to maintain facilities
Assist with Catering Orders
Work 20 hours a week minimum in restaurant BOH Operations
Remain flexible due to COVID-19 adjustments

The Food Science Summer Intern must have the following requirements:
3.2 or above GPA Average
Undergraduate Classification: Junior or Senior
Undergraduate Major: Food Science, Culinary, Biology, Business Management
Travel: 15% local driving
Previous work experience: 1-2 years (preferred)
Availability to work: Monday-Saturday (6 days)
