ABOUT THIS POSITION:
This position is for mid-level management in Back of House (kitchen facing) at Chick-fil-A Harbor Blvd at the Costa Mesa, CA location. This is a full-time (40 hours a week), hourly, non-exempt position with benefits. Each Chick-fil-A Franchise is individually owned and operated.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Shift Leader positions will be expected to regularly work eight hour shifts that require availability during either or both morning (5:30am-2pm) or evening (2pm-11pm), depending on the needs of the business. Availability can alternate throughout the week, however shift leader positions are responsible for the daily shift operations and logistics of opening and closing the store. A prime candidate will have daily availability during one or both of these times on a regular basis.
Additionally, shift leaders are expected to have open weekend availability on Friday and Saturday. Fridays and Saturdays have the highest demand for excellent store operations and require additional leadership support on a regular basis. A prime candidate should have open availability for at least one weekend day, however open availability for both weekend days are highly preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience is preferred. A qualified candidate must be 18 years of age or older.
MISSION:
Grow, lead, and drive the Back of House (BOH) team towards the collective annual and 90-Day BOH Performance Goals. Be the shining example of our core values in everything you do.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Be the standard of excellence in all areas of BOH operations (reference BOH Team Member job description) including opening and closing procedures
Support and collaborate with the Director of People on all BOH training
Coach and develop Team Member’s including performance reviews, the ESRC model, and accountability / discipline processes
Achieve annual and 90-day Performance Goals
Labor management – shift set up, break management, clock-in/outs, uniform checks etc. including an understanding of CA labor laws
Manage all timers and checklists to ensure standards are met
Steward all BOH facilities and equipment per the maintenance schedule
Navigate all areas of CFA Home
Truck order and inventory knowledge
End of shift evaluations
Catering orders and processes
Know all business analytics for the BOH
Sales, CEM scores, FC gaps, Labor gaps, ERQA etc. and drive towards excellence in each area.
Selflessly serve and collaborate with your SS team, always putting their needs before your own

All areas under the stewardship of the BOH are sparkling clean at all times
The BOH team is staffed, trained, and coached every day balancing the needs of personal development and team performance goals

Clearly trickle down and communicate the performance goals from annual, to 90-Day Goals, to shift, so the BOH team is crystal clear about their individual contribution and expectations towards the greater team goals
Performance reviews are given to each team member every 90 days. The process will take 30 min for each individual. 15 min for preparation and 15 min for review.
