    Role Summary

    The Maintenance Technician/Lead ensures all facilities and structures are in good repair at all times and that all equipment is functioning at an optimal level/capacity to maximize experience for our guests and teams. This position works closely with the Operator, Director of Operations and Office Manager to ensure our vision and core values are the foundation on which we grow the business.

    General Responsibilities

    Equipment: Respond to and remedy the following equipment issues within 24 hours:

    Cooking/serving equipment that impairs our ability to serve food within procedures at peak periods

    Walk-in refrigerator and walk-in freezer

    Ice machine

    HVAC failure

    Any issue that has the potential to create food safety risks as it relates to equipment failure including (but not limited to) breading table, thawing cabinets, etc.

    Drive-thru/IT equipment that inhibits our ability to execute at peak periods

    If equipment needs specialized services, coordinate all repairs with approved service providers.

    Building:

    Ensure restaurants are in good repair and any issues that present a food safety risk (or any safety risk in general) is repaired within 24 hours including (but but not limited to) drainage/plumbing issues, electrical failures, water leaks, pest issues, etc.

    Coordinate with Chick-fil-A on any larger facilities issues that need to be repairs outside of normal restaurant’s responsibilities

    Perform a weekly maintenance walk of both facilities to document any outstanding issues

    Stewardship:

    Monitor equipment and maintenance expenses within a predetermined budget and process through approved vendors.

    Organizational Alignment

    Connect regularly with the Operator, Directors of Operations, and Office Manager to guarantee excellence in communication for all initiatives related to the operations of the business.

    Create/oversee a maintenance calendar that proactively schedules service vendors for

    HVAC cleaning

    Hood vent repairs

    Refrigeration/Ice machine maintenance

    Playground equipment, etc.

    Pressure washing - Ensure weekly cleaning of all concrete.

    Landscaping – Ensure landscaping is clean and well-kept.

    Asphalt resurfacing/striping- Ensure the Support Center initiates when necessary.

    Window cleaning – Ensure weekly cleaning of all windows (inside/out).

    Special projects – As needed.

    Work in conjunction with operational leadership, service providers, and/or the Support Center regarding equipment issues.

    Follow proper protocol to replace/repair equipment and ensure correct vendors are billed per the Matrix provided; assist as needed.

    Work with operational leadership to identify recurring repair issues and ensure proper cleaning/initiatives to minimize or prevent downtime.

    Work in conjunction with service providers to insure a timely response to all issues.

    Execute special maintenance projects as needed.

    Requirements

    Work 20+ hours a week

    Understand the expectation of Chick-fil-A customer service standards and operational excellence.

    3+ years of maintenance experience
