Restaurant Team Leader

$17-18/hr

Chick-fil-A is one of the largest American fast food restaurant chains and the largest whose specialty is chicken sandwiches. Chick-fil-A was originally founded by Truett Cathy as the Dwarf Grill in 1946, changing the name to Dwarf House until rebranding as Chick-fil-A in 1967. Home of The Original Chicken Sandwich.

Job Description

The ideal candidate exemplifies the actions, decision-making skills, and responsibilities of operating a successful area of the business. The role is critical in setting the overall tone and atmosphere of the restaurant across every shift. Developing skills and building community is a constant thought in the mind of this leader. This tireless individual must be a teacher at heart and must be energized by a quick-paced environment.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be 18+ years old
• High school graduate or equivalent. Additional education or experience in the hotel, restaurant, or quick-service industry is a plus.
• Must be hard-working, team-oriented, friendly, honest, dependable and have great guest service skills.
• Must have flexible availability, which will include nights and weekends (Friday-Saturday). Closed Sundays.
• Must have excellent organizational and time management skills
• Will be frequently required to bend, twist, reach above shoulder level, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to work with hot oil and raw chicken
• Available to work 20+ hours or more per week as needed by the restaurant and open or close the restaurant at least 2 days per week

• Execute the vision of the Restaurant
• Commitment to personal growth and development.
• Properly address both positive and negative Results and Relationships throughout the organization
• Work closely with other members of the leadership team and operator to develop and implement a continuous improvement plan for the development of all leaders, emerging leaders, and employees.
• Communicate effectively, share ideas, and take a positive approach to all situations.
• Hold team members accountable to all policy standards
• Provide formal and informal feedback to team on an ongoing basis
• Protect the customer experience by ensuring packaging, food presentation and quality meets or exceeds Chick-fil-A standards
• Ensure all Food Safety procedures are always executed by all team members.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment
• Ensure Inventory is organized properly and maintained to proper levels
• Assess current systems and implement ideas for improvement
• Work closely with the leadership team to develop continuous improvement plans for maximizing fiscal return on investment.
• Ensure speed and quality of food to retain customers
• Ensure execution of catering orders and systems
