    The role of Business Development Manager - King Oscar North America will act as the local brand champion as well as local King Oscar brand guardian in this market. The candidate will be a significant influencer of day-to-day operations for the existing business, and be able to take responsibility for the management of critical components of the ongoing brand strategy. The candidate will support sales’ functions through the implementation of category management principles and analysis. He/She will provide leadership and direction to the business in areas including brand strategy and selling priorities. The candidate will be involved in the development and ownership of innovation projects from inception to launch, and all steps in between. Coordination of strict deadlines, and essential timely updates to all stakeholders during the process, in close collaboration with the Global King Oscar Marketing team in Bergen, Norway and the Customer Service Center in Gniewino, Poland.

    The most desirable candidate will be a practiced CPG professional who is willing to embrace a position that requires multiple skill sets, e.g., Sales, Marketing, Trade, Category Management and general business perspective. The candidate will be successful working in a small, independent environment. He/She will be a self-motivated and independent worker who enjoys the challenges of a fast paced landscape, while also being able to be an effective partner alongside peers throughout the organization (domestic and international) and across multiple functions including; Sales, Product Development, Marketing, Supply Chain, Distribution/Logistics, Category Management, Manufacturing, Finance, Public Relations, Consumer Affairs, etc.

     

    Personal Specifications: The chosen candidate will…

    · possess the outlook of an entrepreneur as well as the business skills of a brand manager with sales and/or trade marketing experience.

    · possess exceptional analytical skills and be able to scrutinize and navigate data from multiple sources, to identify sales opportunities and develop business propositions which will drive a desirable outcome (both short-term and long-term), understand competitive positions, advantages, weaknesses, and use sound logic to support business recommendations necessary to influence profitable volume growth.

    · demonstrate leadership competencies and the ability to present business strategy, reviews and marketing concepts to small and large audiences alike (superior Excel and PowerPoint skills are a must).

    · be an extraordinary listener, able to represent all opinions and reach actionable conclusions that generate the desired outcome.

    · be comfortable interacting with all functions of business to effectively coordinate and deliver strategic business plans (critical functions include: Senior Leadership, Sales Personnel, Marketing Agencies, Third Party Suppliers, International Support Functions, Manufacturing and Customers).

    · be able to accept meaningful challenges to expand the business with confidence, high energy, and a positive “optimistic” outlook, by taking calculated risks, make decisions and learn from experiences.

    · Have practical knowledge of project management, building business cases with clear and concise logic, orchestrating all aspects of the project, event management, forecasting, promotional activities, and monthly reporting.

     

    Qualifications / Experience:

     

    · Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and/or Marketing (MBA is desirable)

    · 7 – 10 years CPG experience (minimum 5 years)

    · 2 – 5 Years CPG Sales experience (minimum 2 years)

    · 2 – 5 Years Trade Marketing & Category Management Experience (minimum 2 years)

    · 2 – 5 Years Classical Marketing Experience

    · Interested in expanding business experience and accepting a variety of roles

    · Superior command of the English Language (Oral and Written)

    · Effective Communication Skills (Written and Oral)

    · Effective Presentation Skills

    · Bi-lingual Language Skills are a PLUS (Spanish)

    · Microsoft Office Suite Competent
