    Job Description

    HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

    Chicken of the Sea Lyons, Georgia, United States (On-site)

    To provide administrative support to ensure Lyons Plant as well as corporate personnel requests/needs are supported and that personnel actions are processed properly and timely as directed by manager.  Assist with people movement, orientation and data entry/ systems/ spreadsheets as directed by Sr. Human Resources Manager. Other administrative duties as assigned.

     

    Ø JOB RESPONSIBILITY

    RESPONSIBLE OF SR. HR MANAGER, LYONS, GA PLANT

    • Responsible for people movement – onboarding, change form, transfers, job postings, promotions, and exits.
    • Assist in responding to inquiries from client base and partners. Provide answers or route accordingly.
    • Support internal audits.
    • Assist Talent Acquisition in recruiting, interviewing, calendaring etc., as needed.
    • Process background checks for new hires.
    • Support updating the COS Careers page, local advertising, and job boards.
    • Support on-site activities – building access for employees, events/parties, gift bags.
    • Ensure contents of EE file is kept confidential.
    • Post internal postings/signage to communication boards/monitors – maintaining all bulletin boards to make sure everything is updated and correct.
    • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
    • Organize and lead tours for guests and new hires.
    • Support or lead Facebook page as instructed
    • Help coordinate meals/refreshments for company events, meetings, auditors, customers, visitors.
    • Support community events such as Onion Festival, Chamber events, United Way, etc
    • Trained as backup for other HR team members.
    • Perform investigations in a timely and professional manner
    • Write, recommend, and administer disciplinary process and precedures
    • Update scorecard KPI’s and presentations
    • Create and manage EBB and Plant HR bulletin boards
    • Administer Everify
    • Administer “Drugs Don’t Work” program
    • Participate in Locker inspections and corrective actions
    • Create, lead, and facilitate teams for Plant Events and activities
    • Work directly with employees on compensation, benefits, and employee assistance programs
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Sr..HR Manager.

     

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

    Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)

     

    TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS:

    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications
    • Prior experience working with HRIS systems
    • Strong knowledge of Benefits and Payroll processes

     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • 4-year degree or work-experience equivalent.
    • Minimum 2-year Human Resources experience.
    • Competent verbal/written communication skills.
    • Working knowledge of Ms Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Multitask with minimum supervision.
    • Meet deadlines. Clearly communicate status of activities and provide regular updates.
    • Fast responses on email and chat. Manages inbox well.

    DESIRABLE JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Knowledge of corporate environment or a plant environment.
    • Fast and clear communication.
    • Knowledge of company policies, organization, procedures and products.
    • Attention to detail and strong time management skills.
    • Knowledge of HRIS systems is a plus.
    • Knowledge of Payroll systems a plus

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS
